Very sorry to hear of Aunt Bert's passing. I hadn't seen her for years but remember fondly how she and Uncle George welcomed my husband and I on our honeymoon. We shared many laughs and I hope now she is resting in peace. Our sympathy to all her family members. Sandra (MacFayden) Sideen and Marty.

I shared so many beautiful times with aunt Bert and my uncle George that I cherish and hope to have them in my memories for as long as possible. I visited aunt Bert in pakenham when she was living in a nursing home and she wanted me to stay with her in her room which might have seemed strange to some but it is what she wanted. I was there for a week and we spent time looking back at all the great moments and funny things that had happened when I had stayed with them in Almonte. I kept in touch with letters and cards over the years until she said she couldn’t write anymore because her writing was so bad. I have sent many cards etc. to her in Fairview regardless if she replied. I will miss her terribly and never forget. I’m leaking from my eyes so I will have to close. Love. Sally MacFayden ❤️4ever

Our thoughts and sympathies go out to Aunt Bert's family. I posted this picture I found of her when she was married to our Uncle George. She was a great hostess and put up with our crazy antics when we went to visit. Such good times and memories. The picture is from September 1971.

Sorry, I should have said this was on behalf of the MacFayden (George's brother's) family.
