Steve, Melanie, Gina and Rocky, heartfelt condolences to all of you in your mom's passing. Connie had a vibrant spirit and great sense of humour! We both have very fond memories of your mom as we grew up in Almonte - David basically living at your home and me playing with Melanie. Thinking of you all in this difficult time! We’ve lived on the same street as Connie for two and a half years. We got to know Connie through her dog Buddy. Having dogs of our own, we often were met with Buddy’s happy barks as we walked by. Not long after, I started bringing Buddy a treat and would stop for a quick pet! Connie would often come out and was happy that we understood that Buddy was a loveable big dog! Connie never actually remembered us, so we had many “first” conversations but she was always so kind! One day this past summer, I walked by with my baby, and naturally stopped to say hi to Buddy. Connie (not remembering who I was), invited me to her backyard to chat. I stayed for an hour and we had a lovely time! Connie told me to come visit again (even noting, “I might not remember you, but just remind me that we’ve met!”). I’m happy to have known her for the brief time that we’ve lived here! Liz and Adrian
